For her second consecutive year, Antonia Edwards, Owner of Antonia Edwards Fine Art Consulting, has procured a distinguished array of original artworks to be displayed at the prestigious 2015 Philharmonic House of Design. The house showcases the visions of 17 interior designers in the transformation of the 15,000 sq. ft. estate located in the the exclusive community of Shady Canyon; Orange County’s premier, guard-gated golf community.

 

Edwards set out to find unique works of art to compliment the caliber of the event as well as the designer’s individual visions back in April when this year's house was announced. Edwards' goal was to select uniquely individual and interesting pieces for each designer's space, while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic for the entire collection throughout the house.

 

The impressive final catalogue includes a classically inspired, life-size hand-carved marble figurative sculpture from Italy which graces the entrance into the home; a custom commissioned bronze sculpture by Laguna Beach “Artist of the Year”, Gerard Basil Stripling on the rear; a larger than life contemporary take on a traditional floral oil painting by recent Laguna College of Art graduate, Michael harnish; as well as a magical array of paintings by California artists including Anne B. Schwartz, Dick Marconi, Georgeana Ireland and sculpture by Gail Lapins and Sculpture by Design.

 

The house will be open to tour from May 5th - May 31st 2015. Proceeds from the House of Design benefit the nationally recognized Youth Music Education Programs of the Philharmonic Society of Orange County.
